Update on Courtyard Lift | August 16, 2024
Salamanca Arts Centre is relieved to update our visitors, residents and supporters that the Courtyard Lift is back in operation.
After a lengthy troubleshooting and parts replacement process, service technicians from OTIS Elevator Company have installed a new control board (and many other parts) and successfully restored lift service.
We are extremely grateful to the State Government Department of Natural Resources and Environment staff and OTIS service technicians who have persisted in the procurement process and sourced components from interstate and overseas to address the complex repairs needed to get the lift working again.
Disability access and level access is restored to levels one and two of the Arts Centre.
A full assessment of the lift has identified that in the longer term it does need replacement, and NRE Tas is working with us to plan that replacement for early 2026.
