Transport Available
While registered guests may choose to drive for the gallery hop, TATA have booked a bus for those registered, although this has limited capacity of up to 40 passengers. First in, best dressed. This is a complimentary offering. For those taking the bus, passengers are asked to wear a face mask throughout.

Departure, Salamanca
The bus will depart from Salamanca, out the front of IMAS, 20 Castray Esplanade, after the allocated lunch break. We ask passengers to please be mindful of time and not to be late.

3:35pm Return
Contemporary Art Tasmania-Salamanca precinct
The bus will depart CAT after the final session and return to Salamanca for a final drop off.

Glee Club’s Singalong Trivia comes to the festival

This is a trivia night where some of the questions are asked and some of the questions are sung!

Your host, Vicky Jacobs is not just a gameshow fanatic, she comes equipped with her very own live choir to sing and sometimes even sing along with!

But don’t worry, this isn’t just a music-centric trivia night, it’s more! You won’t need to know what Paul McCartney’s favourite food is (it’s chip butties).

There will be questions on science, history, travel and culture and we guarantee you’ll know at least one of the answers and probably a whole lot more!

Get a table together and come along to play for some fabulous prizes and be part of a trivia night you’ll be telling people about for years!

The Singers Lounge is the place for after-hours singalongs, open mic performances and general Festival buzz.

Our festival lounge is open to patrons, performers and participants.  Since we began, the festival transforms Salamanca Arts Centre’s Long Gallery to become the heart and soul of the festival, where friends – old and new – enjoy scheduled and impromptu performances. It’s inclusive, informal and free of judgement – a welcoming space to sing or sit back in our laid-back lounge.

Hosted by a variety of special guest MC’s, our licensed bar will be serving wines, spirits and beers, with refreshments and snacks. Doors open at 7.30pm with limited tickets on the door, subject to availability.

Ringed by Language. And Yet., is a new book by Justy Phillips and Upswell Publishing. This event is a live, prologue performance by Justy Phillips and Maria Lurighi with visuals by James Newitt.

Prose. Memoir. Essay. Other. For so many years, I did not know how to say what is now, carefully held in this book. Then my heart began to fail. And when I finally sat down to write about the precarious experience of one thing, the other just tumbled out.

No doubt my whole life, my work as an artist, has been its own process of recovery. And now, through this body, a book—part creature, part ocean, part mouthfuls of air—I have been able to surface an unlikely chronicle of heart failure.

Where do failures of the heart begin? How do they move? Accumulate, mutate, oscillate back and forth between us? These faltering organs. It is terrifying. And yet so important to bring into language such things.
